Gratinated meat loaf with mustard cream on savoy cabbage

Ingredients

  • 500 g Carrots
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 kg Savoy cabbage
  • 2 discs Meat loaf (approx. 200 g each)
  • 1 TABLESPOON Oil
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Butter or margarine
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 4 TABLESPOONS sweet chewy mustard
  • 125 g Whipped cream
  • 1-2 stem(s) Parsley

Directions

    Clean, peel and cut the carrots into small pieces. Peel and chop the onion. Clean and quarter the savoy cabbage and cut out the stalk. Chop cabbage roughly, wash and drain. Quarter Leberkäse.

    Heat oil in a large pan. Fry the Leberkäse in it for about 1 minute on each side and take it out. Heat the fat in the pan. Steam onions and carrots for about 5 minutes. Add the savoy cabbage, season with salt and pepper and fry over medium heat for another 5 minutes, turning. Deglaze with 200 ml water and let it boil down for 2-3 minutes at high heat. Spread Leberkäse on top. Mix mustard and cream and pour over it. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 225 ° C/ gas: level 4) for approx. 5 minutes.
