Gooseberry crumble cake

Ingredients

  • 500 g green and red gooseberries
  • 750 g Flour
  • 375 g Sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp scraped pulp from 2 vanilla pods
  • 500 g Butter or margarine
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Breadcrumbs

Directions

    Clean and wash gooseberries. For the dough mix flour, sugar and vanilla pulp. Melt the fat and pour it over. Mix the ingredients with the dough hooks of the hand mixer to crumble. Spread 2/3 of the crumbles in the fat pan of the oven and press down firmly. Sprinkle thinly with breadcrumbs.

    Spread gooseberries on top. Sprinkle the rest of the crumbles on top. Bake in a preheated oven (electric: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for approx. 45 minutes. Let cool off afterwards. Results in about 20 pieces
