Gnocchi in tomato and feta cheese sauce with basil

Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 8 medium-sized tomatoes
  • 1 TABLESPOON Olive oil
  • 1 TABLESPOON Tomato paste
  • 2 packages (500 g each) fresh gnocchi
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Lemon Pepper
  • 100 g Sheep's cheese
  • 2 stem(s) Basil

Directions

    Peel and finely dice the onion and garlic. Wash the tomatoes and cut out the stem. Cut the flesh into pieces. Heat oil in a pot. Fry diced onion and garlic.

    Tomato paste with sweat. Add tomato pieces and cook for five minutes. In the meantime, let the gnocchi simmer in plenty of boiling salted water at low heat for five minutes until they float to the surface.

    Season the sauce to taste with salt and lemon pepper and puree coarsely with the cutting stick of the hand mixer. Cut the feta cheese into cubes, add to the sauce and bring to the boil once. Drain the gnocchi and arrange on plates with the tomato-cheese sauce.

    Wash the basil, pluck the leaves from the stems. Garnish with sauce.
