Ingredients

  • 1 piston Chicory (about 250 g)
  • 1 (approx. 150 g) Meat tomato
  • 1 small clove of garlic
  • 2 discs cooked ham (approx. 30 g each)
  • 1 TABLESPOON Oil
  • 7-10 Tbsp Juice of 1/2 orange
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp dried thyme
  • 1 TABLESPOON Butter or margarine
  • 7-10 Tbsp Parsley and orange slices

Directions

    Clean and wash the chicory and cut it in half lengthwise. Clean, wash and quarter the tomato and remove the seeds. Cut tomato quarters into small cubes. Peel garlic and cut into thin slices. Cut ham into strips. Heat oil in a pan. Brown the chicory and garlic in it.

    Add orange juice and 2 tablespoons of water. Season with salt, pepper and thyme. Cover and let it stew for about 5 minutes. Add tomato cubes and ham strips about 2 minutes before the end of cooking time. Add fat to the sauce and let it melt. Arrange chicory and orange-tomato sauce on a plate. Garnish with parsley and orange slices
