Fried chicken with homemade fries and lettuce

Ingredients

  • 1 (approx. 1.6 kg) chicken ready to cook
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 1 TEASPOON Sweet peppers
  • 1 kg floury potatoes
  • 1.5 kg Frying fat
  • 1 Lettuce
  • 2–3 stalks of chives
  • 100 g Whipped cream
  • 7-10 Tbsp Juice of 1 lemon
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sea salt

Directions

    Cut the chicken in half with poultry shears, wash and pat dry. Mix oil, approx. 1 tsp. salt and paprika. Put 2-3 tablespoons of water on the fat pan of the oven. Spread the chicken halves all around with the seasoning oil, place them on the baking tray with the cut edge facing down. Roast in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ circulating air: 175 °C/ gas: see manufacturer) for approx. 1 hour. After approx. 30 minutes of cooking time, brush the chicken with the remaining seasoning oil

    Peel and wash the potatoes, cut them into sticks and rub them dry with a tea towel. Heat frying fat in a high pot to 150 °C. Fry the potato sticks in it in 5-6 portions for about 3 minutes each. Take out and let drain

    Clean, wash and pluck the salad into bite-sized pieces. Drain well. Wash chives, shake dry and cut into fine rolls. Mix cream with lemon juice and season to taste with salt, pepper and sugar. Dribble over the salad. Sprinkle with chives. Fry the French fries in portions for approx. 4 minutes, take them out and let the fat drip off. Season the fries with sea salt. Serve chicken with chips and salad
