Fried Brussels sprouts with chicken strips

Ingredients

  • 1 kg Brussels sprouts
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 2 medium-sized onions
  • 30 g fresh ginger
  • 2 Chicken legs (approx. 250 g each)
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 1 TEASPOON Sambal Oelek
  • 1 knife tip ground cinnamon and nutmeg

Directions

    Clean, wash and cover the Brussels sprouts and cook in boiling salted water for about 15 minutes. Peel and halve the onions and cut into fine strips. Peel ginger and dice very finely.

    Wash chicken legs and pat dry. Cut the meat from the bone with a sharp, pointed knife (see photos on the right). Cut the chicken meat into strips.

    Heat the oil in a large frying pan. Brown the meat in it for about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

    Add the onions, ginger and Brussels sprouts and continue to fry for about 5 minutes, stirring continuously. Season with salt, sambal oelek, cinnamon and nutmeg. Puree tastes good with it.
