Express pasta with broccoli in cream cheese sauce

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 2-3 Carrots
  • 750 g Broccoli
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 TABLESPOON Oil
  • 300 g Pasta (e.g. orecchiette)
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Vegetable broth (instant)
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, pepper
  • 100 g sliced boiled ham
  • 150 g fat-reduced cream cheese preparation with herbs (e.g. "Bresso")
  • 1 TEASPOON Cornstarch

    Peel and wash the carrots, cut them in half lengthwise and slice them. Clean and wash broccoli and cut into florets. Peel broccoli stalk and cut into slices. Peel and chop onion.

    Heat the oil in a pot and briefly sauté the carrots and onion. Add pasta and 1 l hot water. Bring to the boil, stir in broth. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer everything for about 12 minutes. After about 5 minutes add broccoli.

    Cut the ham into strips. Wash the chives, shake dry and cut into small rolls. Stir cream cheese into the noodles, bring to the boil. Stir starch and 1 tbsp. cold water until smooth, stir into the sauce and simmer for about 1 minute. Add ham and chives to the noodles. Season to taste. Serve everything.
