Pack contents unfrozen with 1/8 litre water, boil in an open pot at medium heat. Cook over low heat for three minutes, stirring occasionally. In the meantime, heat the fat in a pan, beat the egg into the pan and fry for one or two minutes. Season the Chinese dish with a little soy sauce and place on a plate. Slide a fried egg on top and serve sprinkled with chilli or cayenne pepper
