Ingredients

Servings: 8
  • 500 g Flour
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 60 g Sugar
  • 50 g Butter or margarine
  • 250 ml Milk
  • 1 cube (42 g) fresh yeast
  • 16 Raisins
  • 16 Almond slivers
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 1 TABLESPOON Sugar crystals
  • 7-10 Tbsp Choco decoration font
  • baking paper

Directions

  1. 1

Sieve the flour into a bowl. Make a depression in the middle, add salt and egg. Sprinkle with 50 g sugar. Melt the fat and add cold milk, except for a tablespoon. Mix yeast and 10 g sugar. Add yeast and lukewarm milk mixture to the flour and knead everything into a smooth yeast dough.

  2. 2

Dust with flour, cover and leave to rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes. Knead the dough on a floured work surface and let it rise for another 15 minutes. Form a roll from the dough and divide it into 8 equal pieces. Divide about 2/3 of each piece of dough again. Remove a thumbnail-sized piece of dough for the tail from the larger pieces, form the rest into a roll of about 40 cm. Roll up from one end to 2/3 to a snail. Place on two baking trays lined with baking paper. Roll the smaller pieces of dough into drops. Cut deeply at the pointed ends. Place the head on the unrolled yeast strand. Roll the remaining small yeast pieces into small balls and place them on the body as a tail. Press raisins and almonds into the head as eyes and beard hairs.
