Ingredients

  • 2 medium sized apples (approx. 250 g each)
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 100 g Pumpernickel bread
  • 50 g Butter or margarine
  • 100 g Whipped cream
  • 2 TABLESPOONS sliced chocolate

Directions

    Peel and quarter the apples and remove the core. Cut the apple quarters into approx. 1 cm thick slices. Bring 5 tablespoons of water, 25 g sugar and vanillin sugar to the boil and steam the apple slices for about 5 minutes. In the meantime, grind the pumpernickel not too finely in a universal chopper. Heat the fat in a pan.

    Add pumpernickel and remaining sugar and roast for 3-4 minutes. Remove apple slices and pumpernickel and put aside. Whip the cream with the whisks of the hand mixer until semi-stiff and put in a cool place. Arrange apple slices and pumpernickel in layers in glasses. Put a big blob of cream on each and sprinkle with chocolate
