Curry sausage skewer with potato wedges

Ingredients

  • 750 g mainly waxy potatoes (e.g. satina)
  • 5 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 1/2 TEASPOON Sweet peppers
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp black pepper
  • 5 small onions
  • 1/2 bunch Thyme
  • 400 g Tomatoes
  • 2 TEASPOONS Curry Powder
  • 150 g Tomato Ketchup
  • 4 (110 g each) Curry sausages
  • 1 green and red pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Shashlik skewers
  • baking paper

Directions

    Peel the potatoes and cut into slices. Mix with 2 tablespoons of oil and paprika powder. Season with salt and pepper. Spread on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 2) for 30-35 minutes.

    Peel 1 onion, dice finely. Wash the thyme, dab dry, put some aside for garnishing, chop the rest finely. Wash the tomatoes. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil, fry onion and thyme in it.

    Grate the tomatoes on the large grater directly into the pot. Throw away any remaining skin and stem base. Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of curry and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until the liquid has almost evaporated.

    Add ketchup, bring to the boil once, season with salt and pepper. Cut the sausages into pieces. Peel 4 onions and cut into slices. Clean, wash and cut the peppers into pieces. Put sausage, onions and paprika alternately on 8 skewers.

    Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large frying pan and fry the skewers for 6-8 minutes, turning them several times. Arrange skewers with potato wedges and sauce. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of curry and garnish with thyme set aside.
