Servings: 4
  • 2 medium-sized onions
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 800 g Gherkins
  • 3 Stem(s) Lovage
  • 3 Stem(s) Borage
  • 4 Tomatoes
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 250 g Beefsteak mince (alternatively minced beef)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp black pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sweet peppers
  • 1/4 l clear broth (instant)

Directions

  1. 1

Peel and finely chop the onions. Peel garlic and press it through the garlic press or chop it finely. Peel and halve cucumbers and remove the seeds as desired. Cut the cucumber into pieces about 1 cm wide.

  2. 2

Wash the lovage and borage and dab dry. Chop the lovage finely. Pluck the borage leaves from the stalks and cut into fine strips. Wash, clean and quarter the tomatoes. Heat the oil in a large, wide pot.

  3. 3

Fry the onions and garlic until transparent. Add tartar and fry. Add cucumber and mix with the tartar. Season to taste with salt, pepper, paprika and lovage. Pour on broth. Fold in tomatoes, cover and stew for 10 minutes.

  4. 4

Then add borage and possibly season again. Boiled potatoes taste good with it.
