Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 3 Eggs (Gr. M)
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, white pepper
  • 125 g flour, 1 msp. baking powder
  • 100 ml Milk
  • 2 (approx. 600 g) Vegetable Onions
  • 3/8 l oil for baking
  • 150-200 g Breadcrumbs

Directions

  1. 1

Whisk eggs and season. Mix flour and baking powder. Mix with the eggs. Gradually stir in the milk. Cover the dough and let it swell for about 15 minutes

  2. 2

Peel the onions. Cut into slices of about 1 cm thickness and divide them into rings

  3. 3

Heat the oil in a large frying pan. Stir the dough again until smooth. Pull onion rings through the dough in portions with a fork, let them drip off a little. Immediately turn in breadcrumbs and fry in the oil until golden brown, turning occasionally.

  4. 4

Remove each one with a skimmer and let it drip off on kitchen paper. Keep warm. Arrange on a plate and serve with various dips, e.g. tomato and chilli sauce, mango chutney or sour cream
