Melt the fat. Stir in sugar. Whisk egg and cream and stir into the fat mass. Sift flour over it and fold in. Place the dough with 2 teaspoons in small heaps on 1-2 baking trays lined with baking paper.
Press the piles a little bit flat, sprinkle with the pistachios and press if necessary. Bake the trays one after the other in a preheated oven (electric: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for about 12 minutes. Place the finished cookies on a cake rack and let them cool down.
Serve dusted with icing sugar. Makes 25-30 cookies.
