Classic potato gratin

Ingredients

  • 3 discs Bacon
  • 7-10 Tbsp the whiteness of a leek
  • 5 Allspice seeds
  • 250 g Potatoes
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 100 ml Milk
  • 100 g Whipped cream
  • 7-10 Tbsp Olive oil

    Cut the bacon into strips and leave them in a pan without fat for about 5 minutes while turning them until crispy. Clean the leek, cut into fine rings, wash and drain well. Add leek to the bacon and fry for approx. 3 minutes. Finely grind the pimento in a mortar. Peel and wash the potatoes and slice them finely

    Spread 2 small gratin dishes with butter. Put half of the potatoes into the casseroles. Spread the bacon and leek on top, except for something to sprinkle. Season with salt, pepper and pimento.

    Spread the rest of the potatoes on top. Mix milk and cream and pour over. Cook in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ circulating air: 175 °C/ gas: see manufacturer) for approx. 15 minutes. With left over
