Classic herring salad

Ingredients

  • 350 g Potatoes
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 8 Matie's fillets
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 sour apples
  • 200 g Beetroot (glass)
  • 200 g Gherkins (glass)
  • 250 g cooked beef (e.g. from the leg)
  • 200 g ripened cream
  • 100 g Salad mayonnaise (50 % fat)
  • 1-2 TABLESPOONS Fruit vinegar
  • 1 pinch Sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 1 glass (53 ml) fine capers

    Wash the potatoes and cook in plenty of boiling water for about 20 minutes. Rinse under cold water, drain and peel. Boil egg in boiling water for about 8 minutes until hard. Rinse the maties and dab dry

    Peel and chop the onion and apples. Pour beetroot into a sieve, collect the juice. Dice meat, cucumber, beetroot, onion, apples, potatoes and matie

    For the marinade, mix sour cream, mayonnaise, vinegar and 100 ml beetroot juice. Season to taste with sugar, pepper and salt. Fold in prepared salad ingredients and chill for at least 4 hours. Peel and chop the egg. Add capers and egg to the salad and fold in. Arrange in a bowl. Black bread tastes good with it
