Chocolate slice "Banana Split"

Ingredients

  • 4 Eggs (size M)
  • 150 g + 5 tablespoons sugar
  • 75 g flour, 75 g cornstarch
  • 2-3 TABLESPOONS cocoa, 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 75 g Dark chocolate
  • 4–5 bananas + 3 small
  • 7-10 Tbsp or mini bananas
  • 7-10 Tbsp Juice of 1 lemon
  • 6 sheets white gelatine
  • 400 g Whipped cream
  • 500 g Low-fat curd
  • 2 packages Vanillin sugar
  • baking paper, aluminium foil

Directions

    1) Separate the eggs. Beat the egg white and 4 tbsp. water until stiff, adding 150 g sugar. Stir in the egg yolks one by one. Mix flour, starch, cocoa and baking powder, sieve on top, fold in

    2) Spread the mixture on a baking tray lined with baking paper (approx. 32 x 39 cm). Bake in a hot oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/circulating air: 175 °C/gas: level 3) for about 10 minutes. Remove the baking paper, let it cool down

    3) Cut the sponge cake base straight at the edges and cut the base in half crosswise. Cover one base with a baking frame or a multiple-folded frame made of aluminium foil. Coarsely grate the chocolate. Peel 4-5 bananas, halve them lengthwise and sprinkle with half of the lemon juice. Soak gelatine in cold water. Whip 300 g cream until stiff

    4) Mix the quark, vanillin sugar and 5 tablespoons of sugar. Squeeze the gelatine, dissolve. Mix first with 5 tablespoons of quark, then with the rest of the quark. First fold in cream, then chocolate rasp. Spread half the cream on the base. Spread bananas on top. Spread the rest of the cream on top. Cover with the rest of the cake base and press down. Chill for at least 4 hours.

    5) Whip 100 g cream until stiff, fill into a piping bag with star-shaped spout. Spray as tuffs onto the cake. Peel small bananas, halve each 1 x lengthwise and crosswise. Sprinkle with the rest of the lemon juice and let it drip off. Place on the tuffs
