Chocolate Almond Stars

Ingredients

Servings: 50
  • 125 g soft butter/
  • 7-10 Tbsp Margarine
  • 1 Egg (Gr. M)
  • 75 g Icing sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 250 g flour, 50 g cocoa
  • 1/2 TEASPOON Baking Powder
  • 15 Almonds (e.g. without skin)
  • 100 g Whole milk couverture
  • baking paper

Directions

    Stir the fat until creamy. First stir in the egg, then the icing sugar and vanillin sugar. Mix flour, cocoa and baking powder, add and knead everything into a smooth dough. Cover and chill for about 30 minutes.

    Line one or two baking trays with baking paper. Roll out the dough on a little flour to a thickness of about 3 mm. Cut out stars of different sizes (5-8 cm Ø) as desired and place them on the baking tray. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C / gas: level 2) for 8-10 minutes. Let them cool down

    Halve the almonds. Chop the chocolate coating and melt in a hot water bath. Decorate stars with couverture and one part with half an almond each. Leave to dry
