Chicken filet with cider and apples and mashed chives and potatoes

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1 kg Potatoes (mainly waxy)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 2 large chicken fillets (approx. 250 g each)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 1 Apples
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Sunflower oil
  • 1/2 bunch Chives
  • 100 ml Cider (cider)
  • 100 ml Milk
  • 50 g Butter
  • 7-10 Tbsp freshly grated nutmeg

Directions

    Peel and wash the potatoes and cut them roughly into pieces. Cover the potatoes and cook them for about 20 minutes in little boiling salted water

    Wash the meat, dab dry, cut in half horizontally. Season with salt and pepper. Apple wash, quarter, remove core. Cut quarter into slices

    Heat the oil in a pan in portions and fry the meat for about 5 minutes while turning. Wash the chives, shake dry and, except for a little garnish, cut into fine rolls. Remove meat from the pan and keep warm. Steam apple slices in the frying fat for about 3 minutes. Deglaze with cider after about 1 minute

    In the meantime warm up the milk. Drain the potatoes. Add butter, warm milk and some nutmeg and mash. Stir in chives. Arrange potatoes, meat and apples. Garnish with chives
