Wash the cherries, drain well, clean and stone them. Weigh 1 kg cherries. Mix Gelfix and sugar and mix well with cherries in a large pot. Bring everything to the boil while stirring over high heat.
Boil for at least 3 minutes while stirring constantly. Remove from the heat and stir in the liqueur and almond flavouring. Immediately pour into prepared glasses with twist-off lids, close them. Place glasses on the lid for approx. 5 minutes
