Cheese board with tomato chutney

Ingredients

Servings: 1
  • 2 can(s) (850 ml each) Tomatoes
  • 2 medium-sized onions
  • 2-3 Garlic cloves
  • 30-40 g fresh ginger
  • 75 g dried apricots
  • 200 g Gelling sugar (1:1)
  • 1 TEASPOON Salt
  • 1 slightly heaped Tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 200 ml Red wine vinegar
  • 500 Grapes

Directions

    Coarsely mash the tomatoes and juice in a large pot. Peel and chop the onions and garlic. Peel ginger and grate finely. Finely dice the apricots. Put everything with the remaining ingredients into the pot. Bring to the boil and boil down at very low heat for about 3 1/2 hours, stirring more often. Season to taste at the end

    For the cheese platter:

    Wash the grapes and let them drip off or pat dry. Arrange cheese and grapes on a large platter. Add the chutney. Ciabatta and Grissini sticks taste good with it
