Bratwurst with carrots and kohlrabi vegetables

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 Kohlrabis (approx. 450 g each)
  • 2 Carrots
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 200 ml Vegetable broth
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 1 TABLESPOON Flour
  • 75 g Whipped cream
  • 4 Fried sausages (à approx. 125 g)

Directions

    Peel and finely chop the onion. Peel the kohlrabis. Clean, wash and chop fine kohlrabigrün. Cut the kohlrabis into about 1.5 cm thick sticks. Peel carrots and cut them diagonally into slices. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pot. Sauté onion for about 2 minutes. Add kohlrabi and steam briefly. Pour in broth and simmer covered for 5-7 minutes. Add carrots about 4 minutes before the end of cooking time. Season with salt and pepper

    Drain the vegetables, place them in a bowl and keep warm. Pour stock back into the pot, bring to the boil. Mix flour and cream until smooth, stir into the stock and simmer for about 2 minutes. Pour over the vegetables. Mix the kohlrabigrün with the creamed vegetables

    Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan. Fry the sausages for about 10 minutes while turning them over. Arrange creamed vegetables and sausages on plates. Mustard tastes good with it
