Peel the pear, cut into eighths, remove the core and cut the slices into pieces. Wash and sort the blueberries and drain them well. Boil up pear, blueberries, 200 ml water, lemon juice, sugar and star anise. Stir cornflour with a little water until smooth and add to the boiling fruit. Bring to the boil again briefly, add pear brandy, then remove from heat and allow to cool. Semolina flummery tastes good with it
