Berry jelly with vanilla cream sauce

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 750 g mixed berries (e.g. red currants, strawberries and raspberries)
  • 3 (30 g) slightly heaped tablespoons cornflour
  • 1/2 l Cherry Juice
  • 6-7 TABLESPOONS Sugar
  • 400 ml Milk
  • 1 package Sauce powder vanilla
  • 100 g Whipped cream
  • 7-10 Tbsp Meringue Drop

Directions

    Select the berries, wash and drain if necessary. Strip the currants from the panicles with a fork. Clean and quarter the strawberries.

    Stir the starch and 6 tablespoons of juice until smooth. Boil up the rest of the juice and 3-4 tbsp. sugar. Stir in the starch and simmer for about 4 minutes while stirring. Add the berries and simmer for another 1 minute. Let it cool down.

    Remove 3 tablespoons of the milk and stir with sauce powder until smooth. Boil up the rest of the milk, cream and 3 tbsp. sugar. Stir in sauce powder and bring to the boil again. Let it cool down.

    Fill berry groats into glasses, add vanilla cream and meringue as desired.
