Ingredients

  • 800 g beetroot
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Butter or margarine
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cumin
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp ground cilantro

Directions

    Peel the beetroot and cut into pieces. Peel and finely chop the onion. Heat the fat in a pot. Fry onion and beetroot in it. Season with salt, cumin and pepper.

    Add 100 ml water, bring to the boil, cover and cook for about 15 minutes. Mash the beetroot and season to taste with salt and coriander.
