For the salad, clean and wash the zucchini and cut into small cubes. Cut dates lengthwise, stone and quarter them. Peel garlic and chop very finely. Mix zucchini, dates, garlic, 3 tbsp. oil and lemon juice.
Season to taste with salt and pepper. Leave to stand for about 30 minutes.
Cut the cheese into 8 pieces. Whisk the egg in a deep dish. Put flour and breadcrumbs on two flat plates. Turn the cheese in flour, egg and breadcrumbs one after the other, press the breadcrumbs lightly.
Heat 2-3 tablespoons of oil in a large frying pan. Fry the cheese for 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Season date salad to taste again. Serve with the cheese. Serve with pepperoni, olives and flatbread.
