Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1 red skin apple (approx. 150 g)
  • 2 Spring onions
  • 6 Stem(s) Thyme
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Olive oil
  • 1 TABLESPOON Honey
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper from the mill
  • 2 Eggs (size M)
  • 4 (150 g each) Camemberts
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Flour
  • 100 g Breadcrumbs
  • 100 ml Oil

Directions

  1. 1

Wash the apple, grate dry, quarter it, cut out the core. Cut apple into fine cubes. Clean and wash spring onions, grate dry and cut into fine rings. Wash thyme, shake dry and cut leaves, except 4 stems for garnishing, strip and chop.

  2. 2

Heat olive oil in a frying pan. Fry the apple, thyme, spring onions and honey for approx. 1 minute, turning them over. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Take out and let cool down.

  3. 3

In the meantime, whisk the eggs in a shallow bowl. Turn the camemberts first in flour, then in egg and breadcrumbs. If necessary, turn again in egg and breadcrumbs until a closed breadcrumb coating is formed.

  4. 4

Heat the oil in a large frying pan. Bake the camemberts in this pan for 3-4 minutes, turning them until golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper.

  5. 5

Arrange cheese with apple-onion mixture on plates. Garnish with thyme. Serve with baguette bread.
