Asparagus salad with strawberries

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 250 g white and green asparagus
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 1 pinch Sugar
  • 250 g Strawberries
  • 1/2 Head iceberg lettuce
  • 100 g medieval Gouda cheese in slices
  • 7-10 Tbsp Juice of 1 lemon
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 1/2 bunch Basil
  • 1/8 l Olive oil

Directions

    Peel white asparagus up to the tip, green asparagus only at the end of the stem. Cut the woody ends off the white asparagus. Cut the asparagus into pieces about 4 cm long. Boil up about 2 litres of water with salt and sugar.

    Cook white asparagus pieces for 15-20 minutes, green asparagus for about 10 minutes. Wash and clean the strawberries and cut them into halves or quarters depending on size. Clean the salad, pluck into bite-sized pieces, wash and drain.

    Cut the cheese into triangles. Wash basil, dab dry and cut into strips. Mix lemon juice with salt and pepper. Add basil and beat oil into it. Mix the salad ingredients, add the marinade.
