Apple rings Ratzinger style

Ingredients

  • 200 g flour, salt
  • 2 Eggs (Gr. M)
  • 1/8 l Milk
  • 3 TABLESPOONS sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 5 small apples
  • 5 TABLESPOONS clarified butter
  • 7-10 Tbsp Mint

Directions

    Mix flour, 1 pinch of salt, eggs and milk to a thick pancake batter. Cover and let it swell for about 10 minutes

    Mix 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon. Peel the apples, stick out the core. Cut apples into rings of approx. 2 cm thickness, sprinkle with 1 tbsp. sugar

    Pull apple rings in portions through the dough and bake in hot clarified butter for about 3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Turn in the cinnamon sugar and keep warm. Decorate with mint. Served with: vanilla sauce
