Thuringian spinach dish

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1 kg Spinach
  • 200 streaky smoked bacon
  • 2 medium-sized onions
  • 20 g Butter or margarine
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Flour
  • 200 g Whipped cream
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp white pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sweet peppers
  • 1/2 bunch Parsley

Directions

    Wash spinach thoroughly, sort and roughly chop. Dice the bacon. Peel and finely chop the onions. Heat the fat in a pot and fry the bacon until crispy. Dust with flour and sauté.

    Add cream and 200 ml water while stirring and boil thoroughly. Add spinach and onions and cook for 2 minutes. Season to taste with salt, pepper and paprika. Wash and finely chop the parsley and sprinkle over it
