Ingredients

  • 1.5 kg Apples
  • 7-10 Tbsp Lemon juice
  • 125 g Butter or margarine
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp grated rind of 1 untreated lemon
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1/2 package Vanillin sugar
  • 2 Eggs (size M)
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Whipped cream
  • 250 g Flour
  • 1/2 package Tartrate baking powder
  • baking paper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Icing sugar

Directions

    Wash, peel, quarter and core apples. Cut quarters into cubes. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Beat the fat, sugar, lemon peel, salt and vanilla sugar with the whisk of the hand mixer until foamy.

    Stir in the eggs bit by bit. Stir in cream and flour mixed with baking powder. Fold in the apple cubes. Place one heaped tablespoon on each baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.

    Let it cool down and serve dusted with icing sugar. Makes 16 pieces.
