Yeast cream cheese particles with kiwis

Ingredients

  • 1 pack of (450 g) frozen yeast dough
  • 1/2 Vanilla pod
  • 150 g Double cream cream cheese 1 egg (size M)
  • 1/2 TEASPOON Cornstarch
  • 1 Egg yolk for spreading
  • 1 TEASPOON Whipped cream
  • 2-3 TABLESPOONS Sugar crystals
  • 2 Kiwis
  • baking paper

Directions

    Place deep-frozen slices of dough next to each other and allow to defrost completely. Knead the dough well and let it rest covered at room temperature for 15 minutes. Cut the vanilla pod lengthwise and scrape out the pulp. Mix vanilla pulp, cream cheese, egg and cornstarch. Roll out the yeast dough to a rectangle of 20-30 cm and use a pastry wheel to make 6 squares of approx. 10x10 cm.

    Knead the rest of the dough and roll out a seventh square if necessary. Put 1 tablespoon of cream cheese in the middle of each half of the squares and fold over 2 dough corners. For the remaining squares, fold all the dough corners in half and place the cream on top as a blob. Spread the dough pieces on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Let it rest again for about 15 minutes. Mix the egg yolks and cream, brush the dough with it and sprinkle with sugar crystals. Bake in a preheated oven (electric: 200°C/ gas: level 3) for about 15 minutes. Let it cool down. Peel the kiwis, cut them in half lengthwise and slice them.
