Apple-Michel with raisin bread

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 750 g sour. Apples (to the B. Elstar)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 l apple juice, 2-3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 Pckch. Sauce powder "Vanilla
  • 4 eggs , 200 ml milk (size M)
  • 1 pinch salt, fat for the mould
  • 6 Sch. Raisin bread (approx. 40 g each)
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Hazelnut flakes
  • 2 TEASPOONS Icing sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Tranche de menthe et de pomme
  • 7-10 Tbsp for ornament

Directions

    Peel, quarter, core and cut apples into pieces. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Boil up apple juice and sugar. Covered apples and steam for about 10 minutes.

    Stir the sauce powder and 3 tbsp. water until smooth. Stir into the compote and bring to the boil again. Let cool down a little bit

    Mix eggs, milk and salt. Pour 2/3 of the compote into a greased casserole dish (approx. 30 cm long). Place slices of bread on top. Spread the rest of the compote around it. Pour egg milk over it, sprinkle nuts over it. Bake in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/circulating air: 175 °C/gas: level 3) for approx. 30 minutes. Dust the casserole with icing sugar, decorate if necessary
