Apple fritters with vanilla sauce

Ingredients

Servings: 6
  • 1 package Sauce powder "Vanilla" (for cooking; for 1/2 l milk)
  • 1/2 l Milk
  • 3-4 Tbsp Sugar
  • 2 Eggs (Gr. M)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 150 ml White wine
  • 150 g Flour
  • 4 medium-sized apples
  • 3-4 Tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 l oil for frying
  • 7-10 Tbsp Icing sugar and balm

Directions

    Stir the sauce powder with 4 tablespoons of milk until smooth. Boil up the remaining milk and 1-2 tbsp. sugar. Bind with the sauce powder. Let it cool down, stirring from time to time

    Beat the eggs, 2 tablespoons sugar, 1 pinch of salt and wine. Sift the flour on top and stir in. Let the dough swell for about 15 minutes

    Peel apples and remove the core with an apple corer. Cut apples into 6 rings each and sprinkle with lemon juice

    Heat the oil in a high pot or deep fryer to 180 °C. Dab apple rings dry, pull through the dough and bake in portions until golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper and serve with vanilla sauce. Decorate with icing sugar and lemon balm
