Ingredients

Servings: 12
  • 400 g Flour
  • 200 g Sugar
  • 225 g cold butter
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 100 g Hazelnut brittle
  • 2 TABLESPOONS ground hazelnuts
  • 800 g Apples (e.g. Boskop)
  • 1 TEASPOON Icing sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Mint leaves
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease
  • 7-10 Tbsp Aluminium foil

Directions

    Put flour, sugar, butter in flakes, vanillin sugar, salt, egg and brittle in a large bowl. Mix with the dough hooks of the hand mixer. Then work into crumbles with your hands. Grease a tart tin (26 cm Ø). Fill in half of the crumbles and press them into the tin as a base.

    Sprinkle hazelnuts on the base. Peel and quarter the apples, cut out the core. Cut quarters into slices. Spread apples evenly on the base. Pour the remaining crumbles onto the apples. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for approx. 50 minutes on the bottom shelf. If necessary, cover with aluminium foil about 15 minutes before the end of the baking time. Remove from the oven, place on a rack and allow to cool. Dust with icing sugar.

Serve with vanilla ice cream sprinkled with brittle
