Apple and sauerkraut with bratwurst and puree

Ingredients

  • 3 Onions, 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 can(s) (850 ml) Sauerkraut
  • 3-5 Juniper berries
  • 1-2 Bay leaves
  • 1 red pepper
  • 200 ml apple juice
  • 1 glass (360 ml) chunky apple compote
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, white pepper
  • 3 fine uncooked bratwursts (à approx. 110 g)
  • 1/8 l Milk
  • 1 Bag of mashed potatoes
  • 1 TABLESPOON Butter

Directions

    Peel the onions. Finely dice one onion, cut the rest into rings. Fry the diced onion in 1 tbsp. hot oil. Add sauerkraut, tear apart and fry. Add spices

    Clean, wash, chop and braise the peppers. Deglaze with apple juice and stir in the compote. Cover and stew for about 10 minutes, season to taste

    In the meantime heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a frying pan. Fry the sausages for 6-8 minutes until brown. Add the onion rings to the pan and fry until golden brown, turning

    Bring 3/8 l water and about 1/2 teaspoon salt to the boil. Add milk. Stir in puree. Melt butter in it. Stir again, season to taste and arrange everything
