Ingredients

Servings: 70
  • 500 g Flour
  • 2 coated Tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 1/2 TSP. Cinnamon
  • 250 g Sugar
  • 3 Eggs (size M)
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 150 g Butter or margarine
  • 7-10 Tbsp Flour
  • 1 kg Frying fat for baking
  • 7-10 Tbsp Kitchen paper

Directions

  1. 1

Mix flour, baking powder and cinnamon in a bowl. Add 150 g sugar, eggs, salt and fat and fold in with the dough hooks of the hand mixer. Finally, work into a smooth dough with cool hands. Cover and leave to rest in a cool place for about 30 minutes. Roll out the dough about 1 cm thick on a lightly floured work surface. Cut out the almonds with an almond cutter (6 cm long; 3.5 cm wide).

  2. 2

Heat the fat in a high pot or deep fryer to 180 °C. Fry 5 almonds one after the other in the hot fat until golden brown. Lift them out with a skimmer. Drain on kitchen paper and roll in 100 g sugar while still hot. Arrange on a plate and serve
