White beans with tomato sauce

Ingredients

Servings: 6
  • 2 can(s) (à 425 g) large white beans
  • 2 medium-sized onions
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Olive oil
  • 1 package (500 g) chunky tomatoes
  • 3 Bay leaves
  • 1 TABLESPOON dried oregano
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cayenne pepper

Directions

    Drain the beans on a sieve. Peel onions and cut into rings. Heat oil in a pot. Fry the onions in it. Add beans, tomatoes, bay leaves and oregano and bring to the boil.

    Season to taste with salt and cayenne pepper. Place in a bowl and garnish with the bay leaves.
