Wash the meat, dab dry and cut into 4 thick slices. Heat oil in a pan. Fry the meat for 5-7 minutes while turning. Remove the baguette from the foil and bake in a preheated oven (electric range: 175 °C/ gas: level 2) for 8-10 minutes.
Clean, wash and cut the tomatoes into 8 slices. Drain mozzarella and cut into 8 slices. Wash basil, cut half into fine strips. Season meat with salt and pepper and sprinkle with basil.
Place tomatoes and mozzarella on top. Bake under the hot grill for about 5 minutes. Sprinkle with pepper. Garnish with remaining basil. Serve with bread.
