Cook broccoli in plenty of boiling salted water for about 10 minutes. Shortly before the end of the cooking time add noodles. In the meantime peel and finely dice onion. Fry in hot oil. Deglaze with lemon juice.
Add lemon zest, stock and cream and bring to the boil. Stir in the sauce thickener. Bring the sauce to the boil again and season with sugar, salt and coloured pepper. Drain broccoli and noodles. Mix with the sauce.
