Ingredients

Servings: 20
  • 7-10 Tbsp Fat and flour
  • 175 g soft butter
  • 150 g + 125 g sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 4 Eggs (Gr. M)
  • 200 g Flour
  • 50 g Cornstarch
  • 1/2 package Baking Powder
  • 2 kg Strawberries (as small as possible)
  • 1 l Milk
  • 250 g Whipped cream
  • 3 packages Pudding powder vanilla
  • 3 packages red cake glaze fixed with strawberry flavour

Directions

  1. 1

Grease a fat pan (deep baking tray; approx. 32 x 39 cm) and dust with flour. Pour out excess flour. Preheat the oven (electric cooker: 175°C/circulating air: 150°C/gas: level 2).

  2. 2

Cream butter, 150 g sugar, vanillin sugar and 1 pinch of salt with the whisks of the hand mixer. Stir in the eggs one by one. Sift flour, starch and baking powder over them and stir in briefly.

  3. 3

Spread the dough evenly on the fat pan. Bake in a hot oven for about 20 minutes. Let it cool down. In the meantime wash, drain and clean the strawberries. Halve or quarter large strawberries.

  4. 4

For the pudding, boil milk in a pot. Mix cream, pudding powder and 125 g sugar. Stir into the boiling milk, bring to the boil again and simmer for about 1 minute while stirring.

  5. 5

Immediately spread the pudding evenly on the floor. Press the strawberries lightly into the pudding with the tip pointing upwards and close together. Let the pudding cool on the cake for 10-15 minutes until it is firm.

  6. 6

Bring 3/4 l water to the boil. Put the cake glaze powder in a bowl and add water while stirring. Spread over the strawberries immediately. Let the icing get firm. Whipped cream tastes good with it.
