Spicy casserole with smoked pork

Ingredients

  • 500 g Kasselernacken
  • 1 kg Turnip
  • 500 g Potatoes
  • 375 g Carrots
  • 2 small apples
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Lemon juice
  • 40 g butter/margarine
  • 30 g flour, 1/4 l milk
  • 80 g grated spicy cheese (e.g. Landana)
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, white pepper
  • 1 knife tip ground. Carnations
  • 7-10 Tbsp grease, breadcrumbs

Directions

    Boil up about 3/4 l water. Wash the meat and let it simmer for 25-30 minutes. Peel, wash and chop turnip, potatoes and carrots. Cook everything in the last 8-10 minutes

    Wash apples, remove seeds and cut into slices. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Take out potatoes, vegetables and meat, measure out a good 1/4 l stock. Remove meat and cut into pieces

    Heat 20 g of fat and sauté the flour in it. Stir in broth and milk, bring to the boil. Simmer for about 5 minutes. Stir in half the cheese, season to taste

    Fill potatoes, vegetables, apples and meat into a greased casserole dish, pour sauce over it. Sprinkle the rest with cheese and breadcrumbs

    Place the rest of the fat in flakes on top. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C / gas mark 3) for approx. 30 minutes
