For the scones, mix flour, salt, baking powder, sugar and cinnamon. Add fat in flakes and rub finely with your hands. Stir buttermilk into it, then knead to a smooth dough.
Roll out the dough on a floured work surface to a thickness of about 1.5 cm. Cut out round cookies of 6-7 cm Ø. Makes about 12 pieces. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and brush with milk. Bake in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 225 °C/ convection oven: 200 °C/ gas: level 4) for 10-15 minutes.
Serve still warm with 1 blob each of sour cream and Christmas jam.
