Ingredients

  • 250 g Flour
  • 1/2 coated Tsp Baking Powder
  • 80 g Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 1 knife tip ground aniseed
  • 1/2 packet (3 g) fine orange fruit
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 150 g Butter
  • 150 g sieved icing sugar
  • 2-3 TABLESPOONS Lemon juice
  • 7-10 Tbsp red food colouring
  • 7-10 Tbsp brown lipstick
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cling film
  • 7-10 Tbsp Flour
  • 2 (1 l capacity each) Freezer bag
  • 7-10 Tbsp Ribbons or loops

Directions

    Mix flour and baking powder and sieve into a bowl. Add sugar, salt, vanillin sugar, aniseed and orange fruit, add egg and spread butter in small pieces on the flour rim. Knead ingredients with your hands to a smooth dough. Wrap the dough in foil and chill for at least 1 hour. Draw a Santa Claus head with cap (approx. 9x5 cm) on baking paper and cut it out.

    Roll out the dough on a floured work surface approx. 3 mm thick, place the template on top and cut out the dough with a knife. Place figures on two baking trays covered with baking paper. Prick 1 hole (3 mm Ø) in each cap with a wooden stick. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for about 10 minutes. Let cool on a cake rack. Mix icing sugar and lemon juice. Pour half the icing into a freezer bag. Colour the remaining icing red with food colouring and fill into a freezer bag. Cut off a small corner from each bag. Decorate the biscuits like Santa Claus.
