Ingredients

  • 375 g Butter or margarine
  • 700 g Icing sugar
  • 500 g Flour
  • 1 TEASPOON Baking Powder
  • 1 TEASPOON Spekulatius spice
  • 1 egg (size S)
  • 6 TABLESPOONS Lemon juice
  • 7-10 Tbsp red and green food colouring
  • 3 Raisins
  • 7-10 Tbsp Flour
  • 1 Freezer bag
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cardboard
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cling film

Directions

    Knead fat, 200 g icing sugar, flour, baking powder, speculoos spice and egg. Wrap in foil and chill for about 30 minutes. Cut out a cardboard stencil for Santa Claus. Roll out the dough on a floured baking tray about 1/2 cm thick. Cut out Santa Claus according to the template.

    Bake in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for 15-20 minutes. Stir 500 g icing sugar and lemon juice until smooth. Colour half of it with red food colouring. Spread the cap, nose, sleeves and trousers with red icing on the specula. Leave to dry. Colour 1 tablespoon of the white icing green, paint a small gift on the dough base, let dry. Pour the white icing into a freezer bag, cut off a small corner and spray hair, eyes, beard and decorations on sleeves and trousers onto the dough base. Cut 1 raisin in half and put it on the icing as eyes. Fix 2 raisins as buttons with a little bit of icing on the belly.

    Leave to dry. Colour 1 tablespoon of the white icing green, paint a small gift on the dough base, let dry. Pour the white icing into a freezer bag, cut off a small corner and spray hair, eyes, beard and decorations on sleeves and trousers onto the dough base. Cut 1 raisin in half and put it on the icing as eyes. Fix 2 raisins as buttons with a little bit of icing on the belly. Let the icing dry well
