Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 7-10 Tbsp For the burger: 450 g minced beef, 2 shallots finely chopped, 2 cloves of garlic (pressed), 1 large egg, 1-2 teaspoons sweet grainy mustard, 2 tablespoons HEINZ Barbecue Sauce, grated Parmesan cheese, 1 packet of pine nuts, salt, black pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp For the burger topping: 2 large onions, 3 large tomatoes, thinly sliced Chedder cheese, iceberg lettuce leaves, pepper
  • 4 Hamburger Buns , halved (bread roll)

Directions

  1. 1

Preheat the grill. Alternatively, the burgers can be prepared in a pan.

  2. 2

Roast pine nuts without oil in a pan. Leave to cool. Then mix all ingredients necessary for the burgers in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Form round burger patties and chill on a plate in the fridge for 20 minutes.

  3. 3

So the burgers do not fall apart so easily during frying/grilling.

  4. 4

Take the burgers out of the fridge and brown them in a pan or on a hot grill for 3 to 5 minutes on each side. The inside temperature should be around 160°C.

  5. 5

Place a slice of cheddar cheese on 4 of each bun. Then spread the Burger Patties on top. Season with salt and pepper if necessary. Cut the onion into rings and the tomatoes into thin slices.

  6. 6

Garnish the respective burgers with onion rings, tomato slices, 1-2 more slices of cheddar cheese and finally with 1-2 leaves of iceberg lettuce.

  7. 7

Tip: The buns must be toasted or briefly grilled beforehand so that they retain their shape and do not become mushy. A salad or of course the classic French frieze is a great accompaniment to the burger.
