Roasted savoy cabbage with honey ribs

Ingredients

  • 800 g Pork ribs
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 6 TABLESPOONS liquid honey
  • 11/2 TBSP. Soy sauce
  • 1 (approx. 1.2 kg) Head Savoy cabbage
  • 1/2 (approx. 150 g) Vegetable Onion
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 1 piece(s) (approx. 10 g) Ginger
  • 2-3 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 100 ml Vegetable broth (instant)
  • 1 chili pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Chillies and flat parsley

Directions

    Wash the ribs, dab dry and season with salt and pepper. Place on the fat pan of the oven and roast in the preheated oven (electric: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally.

    Mix 5 tablespoons honey and 1/2 tablespoon soy sauce and season with salt and pepper. 5 minutes before the end of the frying time, brush the ribs with the sauce and continue frying. Clean, wash and halve the savoy cabbage.

    Cut out the stalk. Cut the savoy cabbage into wide strips. Peel onion and cut into large cubes. Peel garlic and ginger and chop finely. Heat oil in a pan and fry onion, garlic and ginger.

    Add the savoy cabbage and fry for 6-8 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Deglaze with stock, remaining honey and remaining soy sauce and braise at low heat for another 8-10 minutes. Remove the seeds from the chilli pepper and cut into rings.

    Add to the savoy cabbage just before the end of the cooking time. Arrange the ribs together with the savoy cabbage on a plate and serve garnished with chillies and parsley.
