Ingredients

  • 2 medium-sized onions
  • 8 TABLESPOONS Herb Vinegar
  • 1/4 l Red wine
  • 75 g Sugar
  • 1 TABLESPOON Mustard seeds
  • 1 knife tip ground cloves
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 6-8 Matie's fillets

    Peel onions and cut them into rings. Simmer with vinegar, wine, sugar, spices, salt and pepper for about 2 minutes, let cool off. Cut the maties into strips, mix in and cover and chill for 2-3 days.
