Quark-Ölteig-Taler with strawberry jam, strawberries and whipped cream

Ingredients

  • 75 g Amarettini
  • 25 g Butter
  • 175 g Low-fat curd
  • 6 TABLESPOONS Milk
  • 6 TABLESPOONS Sunflower oil
  • 50 g Sugar
  • 2 packages Vanillin sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 300 g Flour
  • 1 package Baking Powder
  • 200 g Strawberry Jam
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 500 g Strawberries
  • 200 g Whipped cream
  • 1 small freezer bag
  • baking paper

Directions

    Put the Amarettini in a small freezer bag and crumble them with a rolling pin. Heat butter in a pan and lightly toast the amarettini crumbs while turning. Remove from the pan and let it cool down. Mix quark, milk, oil, sugar, vanillin sugar and salt. Mix flour and baking powder and stir about half into the quark mixture. Knead in the remaining flour.

    Form the dough into a thick roll on a floured work surface and cut into 8 equal pieces. Press each piece slightly flat with your hands and make a hollow in the middle. Put thalers on a baking tray lined with baking paper (approx. 32 x 37 cm) and fill each with some strawberry jam. Mix egg yolk and 1 teaspoon of cream. Brush the edges of the thalers with the cream. Sprinkle with amarettine crumbs, except for one tablespoon, and press down lightly. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for 15-20 minutes. Let thalers cool down on a cake rack. Strawberries, wash, drain well and clean. Cut strawberries in half. Whip the rest of the cream and 1 packet of vanilla sugar until stiff. Arrange thalers on a large platter.

    Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for 15-20 minutes. Let thalers cool down on a cake rack. Strawberries, wash, drain well and clean. Cut strawberries in half. Whip the rest of the cream and 1 packet of vanilla sugar until stiff. Arrange thalers on a large platter. Put a blob of cream on each of the thalers and sprinkle with remaining crumbs. Add strawberries
