Pudding "double chocolate" with vanilla cherries

Ingredients

  • 500 g Sour cherries + 1⁄2 l cherry nectar or 1 jar (720 ml) cherries
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp 1 P. Bourbon vanilla sugar
  • 1 package Vanilla sauce powder
  • 100 g Dark chocolate
  • 1⁄2 l Milk
  • 7-10 Tbsp 1 P. chocolate pudding powder (for cooking; for 1⁄2 l milk)

Directions

    Wash the cherries, remove the stalks and stone them (drain the glass cherries). Stir 6 tablespoons cherry nectar, 2 tablespoons sugar, vanilla sugar and sauce powder until smooth. Boil up the rest of the nectar. Stir in sauce powder, bring to the boil and simmer for about 1 minute.

    Add the cherries and simmer briefly. Let the compote cool down.

    Roughly chop the chocolate. Stir 6 tbsp. milk, 2 tbsp. sugar and pudding powder until smooth. Boil up the rest of the milk. Stir in pudding powder and simmer for about 1 minute. Stir in chocolate.

    Divide the pudding into four to six dessert glasses and allow to cool. Serve with some cherry compote. Add the remaining cherries.
